On his courses at Limnisa

Philip Wooderson uses the powerful feeling of place and time you get on Methana to inspire the imagination. He also brings attention to the more practical skills needed to strengthen your characters, hone your plot and sharpen dialogue, as well as the need for revision in order to polish your work.

Philip has written many books for children. These have been published by scholastic, A & C Black and Oxford University Press. Two of his stories have been Guardian Children's books of the week. His series of stories about ancient Egypt, the Nile Files, was used by the Times to promote the Tutenkhamun exhibition at the O2 centre in London and a new edition was published by Franklin Watts in Spring 2008. He has also contributed two historical novels, 'Trouble at the Mill' and 'Plague' to the 'My Side of the Story' series (published by Kingfisher/Macmillan in the US and UK,) described as a "completely unique approach to historical fiction". He is presently completing an adult novel set in Ancient Greece.
