On the unspoilt peninsula of METHANA.

Just 2 hours from Athens !


Central to this drawing and painting holiday is the wonderful environment of METHANA. Several different working methods will be presented which will make the week ideal for experienced artists as well as newcomers. With the help of examples from the history of art you will be inspired to look at the landscape from a different point of view and work with this new insight.



Program

Sunday afternoon arrival at Limnisa and introduction to the environment and the group. Welcome dinner on Sunday evening.

From Monday until Friday the mornings will be used to draw and paint with the help and support of the tutor. Workshops will take place on different locations, never very far from Limnisa. Amongst them are the small fishing harbour of Agios Georgios, the volcanic mountain landscape, the olive groves, the sea and beach at Limnisa. The afternoons you can keep working on your painting as you like. Every day in the early evening there will be a work evaluation.

Thursday: If there is enough interest, a work excursion to the temple of Aphea on the island of Aegina will be organised.

On Friday evening the week will be finished with an exposition in the local taverna and a festive meal.

Saturday after breakfast: departure.




ANGELINE LIPS will be in charge of the program. She has been teaching art for over 30 years and is a devoted artist herself.


Accommodation and meals will take place on Limnisa, located at a secluded beach with stunning views over Angistri and Aegina. Literally with your feet in the water..
